GLASS – ProTek Systems Welcomes a New Brand for Mixers and Food Processing

ProTek Systems has added GLASS, a German company that specializes in custom mixers, process systems, and food processing machinery, to its brand portfolio. This addition strengthens ProTek’s ability to offer tailored process solutions to the food industry. 

Headquartered in Paderborn and family‑run since its founding in 1972, GLASS brings more than 50 years of experience in designing and manufacturing customized equipment for the food sector. The company supplies bespoke machines and process systems for various segments, including meat products, delicatessen, cheese, ready meals, confectionery, spices, and vegetarian and vegan products, as well as for the chemical and pharmaceutical industry.

GLASS offers a wide range of process engineering machinery. The PRO³ series, for example, addresses stationary production needs, such as shredding, cooking, cooling, and precise temperature control, across capacities ranging from 15 to 2,700 liters.

For vacuum‑assisted, gentle mixing and massaging, the VSM family (80–2,700 liters) offers multiple tool configurations, double‑wall temperature control and optional vacuum operation. The VAS systems enable intensive mixing and fine emulsification using high‑speed rotor‑stator technology, while VAS Pulver is optimized for compact powder and additive mixing. These lines are available in sizes up to 2,200 liters.

For small batches and laboratory applications, GLASS offers compact solutions such as the Marinater (20–50 liters) for vacuum marination, the LabMix (15–40 liters) all‑rounder and the LPM 20 (20–50 liters) free‑fall mixer for gentle mixing processes. Specialized machines like the BestCut grinder and the GSS/GS Steakers complete the range for precision processing and portioning.

GLASS stands out for its customized engineering, in-house trials in its pilot plant, and lifelong service and spare parts support for its equipment. The company focuses on quality assurance and high hygiene standards, as evidenced by its membership in the European Hygienic Engineering and Design Group (EHEDG).
